Appointed by the Federal Attorney General of Australia in 2006, I am a fulltime Adelaide based celebrant who conducts civil ceremonies for local and overseas couples. I am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants and the Australian Network of Wedding Professionals.

I am available to meet couples in my offices in Para Hills or Adelaide City – whichever is more convenient. I travel to all areas of South Australia and interstate if required.

Born in the UK, my family immigrated to Australia when I was only 16 months old. I grew up and was schooled in the North of Adelaide before undertaking study and a career in Sales and Marketing. However having an adventurous and fun loving spirit I gave up a well paid job and career prospects to head back to the country of my birth – England.

I lived in London and was given the wonderful opportunity to lead group tours across Europe. I forged a career in tourism which allowed me to indulge in my passion for travel. I have travelled all over the world - experiencing many different cultures and influences.

Whilst on a working holiday in the United States I met an incredible man - Graham a teacher from Yorkshire, England who was to become the love of my life and my future husband. We married on an island in the Whitsundays, QLD and the joy, fun, love and happiness of our wedding day will stay with me forever.
It also planted the seed for a new career – Marriage Celebrant!

We eventually settled in my home town of Adelaide and are now parents to two gorgeous little girls. When the girls were born I decided I wanted to be a ‘stay at home’ Mum and be available for our daughters. So I hung up my backpack and started my home based business ‘Defining Moments Celebrants’.

Tourism to Celebrancy was an easy transition. Instead of helping couples plan and enjoy a holiday perfectly suited to their needs, tastes and budget – ‘a holiday of their dreams!’ I am lucky enough to be assisting couples plan the ‘ceremony of their dreams’.

When we were planning our wedding it was such an exciting (sometimes stressful) time in our lives, thank goodness my ‘sense of humour’ always prevailed – a ‘must have’ during wedding planning and life! I remember how I felt and this enables me to connect with couples.

I have always enjoyed working with people and being entrusted by couples with their most special day - gives me such happiness and satisfaction – I have the best job in the world!
